SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) -The Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition held its western region reception tonight in Springfield to celebrate 10 years of advocacy and resiliency.

Spirit of Springfield reveals theme for this year’s Bright Nights Ball Women gathered from across the region to celebrate this endeavor of inclusion, equity, and empowerment.

The president of the coalition, Celia Johnston Blue, tells 22News that they are dedicated to dismantling racial inequities by focusing on education, civic leadership, criminal justice, as well as access to health care.
