Patricia (Pat) Washington
Pat Washington’s professional career includes over 39 years of service with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc. (BCBSMA). During her tenure she held a variety of leadership positions in Audit & Risk Management, Business Operations, Government Program Compliance, Finance and Information Technology. Pat currently serves as Vice Chair of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation board where she Chairs the Finance & Audit Committee. She also serves on the boards of the Action for Boston Community Development Corporation (ABCD), Martha’s Vineyard Diversity Coalition (a Massachusetts Charitable Trust), Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, Inc. and the Cambridge Jazz Festival Foundation.
Pat serves as a volunteer Tax Preparer for the Internal Revenue Services’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. She co-founded and continues to serve as a financial advisor to a youth investment club formed to help Black and Brown youth understand the importance of developing wealth building skills and begin saving and investing at an early age. She is a member of the Middlesex County (MA) Chapter of Links, Inc. Pat resides on Martha’s Vineyard where she is a resident of the town of Oak Bluffs.
